Springville Zippity Doo Dah ALAA-023086
Zip came to us in early September 2011 from Springville Labradoodles in Oregon. (Thank you, Dixie!) He was born on 4 April 2012, just a few weeks after Magnum!
Zip is a gorgeous red and white parti boy from new bloodlines. He will give us the ability to produce parti and phantom puppies (with the right girls) as well as puppies in shades of red, apricot and cream as well as black.
Zip has already passed health testing to the ALAA Gold Paw standard, including hips, elbows, eyes, thyroid, and PRA. Zip does not carry for chocolate (BBee) but does carry for phantom with the ability to produce phantom puppies if mated with a phantom or carrier. Zip will be ready to start his breeding career in February 2012, once he has matured.
Zip’s name relates to the 1946 Disney Movie called Song of the South - the film’s song “Zip a Dee Doo Dah” won an Acadamy Award for Best Original Song. We will use him with our future cream and parti girls and possibly Amore.

Melorich’s Kodiak ALAA-024645
Kodiak arrived in early October from Melorich Labradoodles in Ohio. (Thank you, Rich!) He was born on 3 August 2011.
Kodiak is a rich deep dark chocolate. He will enhance our ability to produce chocolate puppies (hopefully some that will not fade!). We will be testing him to see whether he also carries for cream and phantom.
Kodiak is named for the Kodiak Brown Bear (also known as the Alaskan Grizzly Bear) that lives in parts of north-western BC, Yukon, and Alaska. This name was chosen to reflect both his colour and his American heritage as well as Canadian residence. Kodiak will be used with Galena and future chocolate and/or caramel girls.
As of mid-December 2011, Kodiak has been screened for hips and thyroid. Once he passes his CERF, he will have passed all health testing and ready to breed once he matures, around June 2012.

Springville Spirit ALAA-026030
Spirit was born on 30 November 2011 in Oregon. He is our second Springville Australian Labradoodle stud! Spirit is co-owned with Canadian Doodle Puppies, also in Ottawa. He will remain at Springville Labradoodles until he passes his preliminary health testing in April. He will begin his breeding career in late 2012.
Spirit is named for the Kermode Bear, about one-quarter of which have a creamy colour (despite being in the brown bear family). These ones are also known as Spirit Bears. They are found in western Canada and the northwestern United States, including Oregon, where Spirit comes from!
Spirit is in need of a Guardian Family. He is a calm and very affectionate boy.

Canadoodle Maggie’s Magnum Rocky Road ALAA-023735
Magnum came to us in May 2011 from Canadoodles Australian Labradoodles in Grand Forks, BC. Unfortunately, Magnum did not pass his health testing so he has been retired to live a long and happy life with his guardian family.
Magnum was named after the high-class ice cream brand and the flavour Rocky Road - a mix of dark chocolate (his basic coat), caramel (his tan points) and nuts.
